8 room(s) for 16 person(s)
Guest house, traditional atmosphere
First of all residence of a rich traders family in Marrakech, then French post office under French Protectorate, the Riyad was sold at the end of the sixties to a Morrocan who rented each room of the house to different poor families from the country side. No renovation work was undertaken until the arrival of the present owners who, fallen for the charm of the house, converted it into a beautiful small palace. They named it Bayti, which means "home" in Arabic. A welcoming of great quality characterises this place where you will feel like home in a warm house, respectful of the well known Moroccan hospitality. In the evening, candles dance around the pool at the rhythm of a soft music inviting to relax in a Thousand and One Nights atmosphere. Each room is lovely decorated and is equipped with reversible air-conditioning. On the terrace, benches and long chairs enable you to relax from the tumultuous medina. All is here implemented with professionalism so that your stay is a success. Service, comfort and friendship restore the philosophy of art of living that Marylen and Diego, the lovely owners, will make you appreciate with discretion and devotion. Very generous breakfast is served in the patio, and in the evening a guest table will reveal to you all the treasures of Moroccan gastronomy.
The Riyad is located in a very easy accessible district, 5 minutes walk the Jemaa El Fna square and near the famous cultural sites such as the Palais Bahia or the Sâadians Tombs.
